Stumpcam Studio was founded in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 2015 to share the natural beauty that surrounded us at our unique location on Ford Lake. A stump in our yard seemed to attract a lot of wildlife, so we began feeding and filming the critters, with whatever equipment we had on hand (iPhone, iPad, GoPro) and sharing on social media. Much to our surprise, people loved it. As time passed, we found ourselves wanting to produce higher quality images, so we invested in FujiFilm DSLR cameras and slowly built out an great collection of high quality lenses. It was at this time, that Wildlife Photography and Videography became a serious passion. In 2021, we founded Stumpcam Studio North in Greenbush, Michigan. From here, we film and share the natural beauty of the Lake Huiron Shoreline and the critters who visit us here. Stumpcam Studio Mobile was founded in 2022 and covers our road trips to wild places, like Tuttle Marsh or the Sunrise Coast Birding Trail.
